Cathay Holidays invited a group of families to visit Cathay Pacific City last weekend, to learn about the operation of Cathay Pacific Airways. The families were guided by a crew member during the visit, with explanations of the major facilities, including the Cathay Pacific Museum, Flight Training Centre, In-flight Training Centre and more. Accompanied by crew, children could even try the majority of training facilities, which made it easier, and more fun, for them to understand and learn.
The most popular feature on the itinerary was the Flight Simulator; which is usually only for pilots’ use. Children sat in the captain’s seat to experience the working environment of pilots, and all parents took photos of their kids’ smiling faces. Another highlight was the In-flight Training Centre where children were allowed to sit in the First Class or Business Class seats while they learned about the daily operation procedures from the crew. The children were also excited to discover the Check-in Mock Up, emergency equipment, escape slide and more.
